Stone Art Festival – Where art meets stone, in the middle of nature from 26th August to 3rd September Stone Art presents itself as an artistic festival, developed in a rural context, which seeks to perfectly integrate works of public art with the surrounding nature of Codaçal – Porto de Mós. The stone extraction industry is one of the region’s main assets, demarcating the territory and characterising a centuries-old culture. The festival seeks to boost the artistic and cultural dynamism of the region by creating a public art circuit that celebrates, through a multidisciplinary intersection of the visual arts, the natural park and its natural and scenic resources. Curated by the artist 2CarryOn and the project’s ambassador is Dr Luís Amado.
