Dream Factory: Story Time

The Story Time is part of the Reading and Literacy Promotion and Animation Service (SPALL) of the Vila Franca de Xira Municipal Library and promoted by the Municipality, with the aim of awakening children’s love of reading and, through the “Dream Factory”, exercising oral expression, the ability to retain information and to use their imagination to bring out their creativity.

Between colours and images, letters and words, ideas and imagination, we’ll discover the story of the painter Frida Kahlo.

Frida Kahlo de Rivera was a Mexican artist best known for her self-portraits. Her paintings were influenced by her popular culture, with lots of bright colours and dramatic symbolism.

“I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I have to, and I paint what goes through my head without any other consideration” (Frida Kahlo).
