Ideal walks for those who like nature, waterfalls and coastal landscapes. They will also be able to learn about the old agricultural production and the mills that were used in this area.

Walking trails that cover the highest and oldest area of the island of São Miguel, being one of the areas with more endemic vegetation and one of the most important areas in terms of water resources. All done in one of the two Nature Reserves of São Miguel – Lagoa do Fogo and Pico da Vara.

Walk-in Faial da Terra (4.5km – duration about 7 hours)

Walk on the Trilho do Agrião (4.5km – duration about 7 hours)

Walk on the Ribeira Funda Trail (5km – duration about 7 hours)

Walk Moinho do Félix (5.5km – duration about 6 hours)

Walk Pico da Vara (7km – duration about 7 hours)
