The tour includes visiting the Biodiversity Interpretation Centre “Land of Idanha”, the Monte Barata Ecofarm and the Environmental Interpretation Centre of Castelo Branco. Don’t miss the aromatic and medicinal herbs workshop. We recommend that you bring your own binoculars, camera and bird guidebook. Day 1 Arrival. Day 2 Breakfast at the accommodation. Morning: Visit the Interpretation Center of Biodiversity “Terras de Idanha” and birdwatching at Fragas da Segura. Aromatic and medicinal herbs workshop. Picnic lunch with regional food. Afternoon: Off-road ride in the deer’s track, observing local wildlife. Visit Alares Observatory and enjoy the scenery of the High Tagus overview. Accommodation. Day 3 Breakfast at the accommodation. Morning: A thematic visit to Monte Barata’s fauna and flora (Monforte da Beira). Explore the interactive exhibition of the Center for Environmental Interpretation of Castelo Branco.
