Open House Archaeology 2023
The Museum of Lisbon – Roman Theatre is holding the 2nd edition of Open House Archaeology on the weekend of 16 and 17 September 2023.
After the success of the first edition, with all visits sold out, this year the Museum of Lisbon – Roman Theatre is doubling the number of sites opening their doors, in a unique opportunity to discover more than twenty spaces with archaeological remains which, in most cases, can rarely be visited by the public.
Private homes, shops, hotels, museums and other facilities reveal, in a single weekend, what few people know.
The main aim of this initiative is to publicise the heritage that belongs to everyone and to highlight the importance of archaeology.
