FIADA – International Craft, Design and Other Arts Fair is taking place in Covilhã’s Jardim das Artes from 31 August to 3 September. There will be crafts and design, exhibitions and installations, workshops and gatherings, gastronomy and an outstanding musical programme. Conceived as part of Covilhã’s status as a UNESCO Creative City of Design, FIADA’s main objective is to publicise national and international handicrafts. The national show will feature 40 artisans from all over the country. The international component is guaranteed by the presence of the Brazilian cities of Brasilia and Fortaleza, which also have the UNESCO Creative Cities label in the area of Design. Free entry.
