ENJOY THE SUNRISE IN LAGOA DO FOGO, DIVE IN PONTA DA GALERA AND TASTE THE FRESH FISH OF THE ISLAND.
Lagoa do Fogo is located in the caldera of the Fogo volcano and is the second largest lagoon on the island of São Miguel. Due to few interventions, its fauna and flora are still wild which has made it one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal in the category of Wild Beaches. It is an important lagoon for the region due to the supply of drinking water and a visit card from São Miguel. But it is through dirt paths that its essence is felt. Not only for the pedestrian trail starting in Água D’Alto, but for all its fauna and flora that is found along the trail. If just watching it is already a natural beauty imagine the pure smell of a new day, when we watch the sunrise while fishing in a relaxing way. To complete this extraordinary experience, nothing better than a sea bath in Ponta da Galera, where you can also, if you want, go snorkeling and finally taste the fresh fish of the Azores at the Bar da Caloura.
