Geological-artistic walk

led by geologist David Freire-Lista and artist Paula König

In order to share responsibility with the generations that came before us and the generations to come, a geological-artistic approach becomes our tool for awakening curiosity and reshaping the way we think about ourselves in time.

Participants are invited to join geologist David Freire-Lista and artist Paula König on a 3-4 hour walk in the Cabeço do Pião area, Fundão.

The aim is to create a meeting place for a geological-artistic conversation. To achieve this, we will walk along the River Zêzere, passing abandoned mining areas and rock engravings.

By sharing the collective experience of feeling the different impacts and human interventions over time, we will use the earth materials on site for artistic-geological experiments such as painting with natural pigments.

The walk is free of charge.
Lunch is provided on the day of the walk.
Depending on demand, accommodation at the site can be arranged free of charge from 14 to 15 September.
