SINES TRIATHLON 2024

This year, the 2024 Sines Triathlon event brings new features with the introduction of a new distance: 2 km of swimming, followed by 80 km of cycling and finishing with 18 km of running, totalling 100 km of racing.

The race will start in the Bay of Sines and finish on Avenida Vasco da Gama.

To encourage participation, those registered for the Lidl Setúbal Triathlon have the opportunity to benefit from a special discount on individual registration for the Sines Triathlon 2024, valid until 31 January 2024.

  • 21:00: Online technical briefing – Portuguese
• Friday 27th September 2024
  • 14:00 – 18:00: Secretariat at Passeio Vasco da Gama
• Saturday 28th September 2024
  • 10:00 – 17:00: Secretariat at Passeio Vasco da Gama
  • 9:00 – 11:00: Set-up period for the swimming segment at Praia da Baía de Sines
  • 14:30 – 18:00: Check-in for the Sines Triathlon; technical check (bike and helmet) and bike fitting at Passeio Vasco da GamaNOTE: it is compulsory to wear the official race bib, helmet and bike.
• Sunday 29th September 2024
  • 6:30 – 7:30: Helmet fitting, nutrition and last minute technical adjustments at the Transition Park (no bike fitting on Sunday)NOTE: it is compulsory to present the official race bib and chip.
  • 7:35: Time limit for athletes to remain in the Transition Centre
  • 7:30 – 07:50: Warm-up at Sines Bay Beach
  • 7:55: Athletes line up
  • 8:00: Elite start
  • 8:00:30: Rolling Start
  • 12:00: Podium ceremony to award the absolute winners, the first three teams and the first three relays

THE TIME LIMIT FOR STARTING THE RACE SEGMENT IS 4H30M AFTER THE START OF YOUR RACE.
