Mondego Charms an Initiation to Canoeing

Descent of the Mondego River, the largest Portuguese river, in a 12km sector between the Carvoeiro reservoir (Penacova) and Praia Fluvial dos Palheiros / Zorro (Coimbra).

It is the largest and most commercial tourist entertainment activity in our country, being indicated for the initiation of canoeing.

It has a stunning natural environment with varied vegetation and countless birds. During the summer, there are some small rapids that provide some excitement. In the middle of the descent (around 1 pm) there is a stop on the river bank where the participants make food reinforcement, which they must bring from home.
