Arrival to Alcaide (Meeting with the representative of Try Portugal)
Departure for a visit to a farm with a specialist in Mycology where with briefing presentation we will be able to get to know a little more about which products fuels and not and also about their confection in the end, and for a good farewell, brief tasting of the products.
Going to the “Míscaros” Fair in Alcaide, free time to visit and enjoy this experience.
Departure to Manteigas, and upon arrival, lunch at a regional restaurant with unique dishes from the surrounding area such as Trout, Feijocas, and other specialties.
After lunch, we will meet a specialist in the area where we will start the experience of the chestnut. Explanation of the region and main characteristics of the chestnut of the region, following the experimentation of the chestnut harvest, always enjoying the magnificent landscapes of the Serra da Estrela.
Continuation of the experience with a “Magusto” (is a Portuguese tradition, where people socialize while are roasting chestnuts at the campfire) in the embers with a tasting of products serranos on a typical farm.
At the end of this wonderful “Magusto”, we bid farewell to our visitors with a pleasant memory of the region so that this experience can always be remembered.
