This activity consists of walking down "Ribeira da Pena" through jumps, abseiling and crossings in water.
The stream runs through an abrupt valley, whose riverbed, banks and slopes are formed by impressive cliffs, making this location almost inaccessible. For this reason, the valley also serves as a refuge for unique and rare plants and animals.
Being one of the most spectacular streams in the Portuguese central region, it combines wild and inhospitable landscape (formed by numerous waterfalls, lagoons and towering cliffs) with lush vegetation and peculiar wildlife, making it worth the effort expended in performing this demanding activity.
