THE SEA ROUTE OF SANTIAGO The way is also made by sailing! We recreate the maritime pilgrimage from Matosinhos, the birthplace of the legend of Vieira, to Vila Garcia de Arousa, by sailing vessel. On the Spiritual Variant, we travel by boat up the Ulla river – the origin of all the Pilgrim Ways – and finally we walk from Padron to Santiago de Compostela!
