Slide with Adrenaline

Surrounded by pure nature, in this region, we discover unique endemic species such as the Otter and the Lusitanian Salamander. The thermal village of Chaves, Alijó and Vila Real are more tourist destinations, but a visit to Vilarinho de Negrões, Montalegre or Boticas reveals secrets and legends preserved by time. The ancestral traditions remain further south in the wine-growing region of the Douro, in the Chagas de Bois de Barrosã in Montalegre and in Bisalhães, where we admire the pottery made with black clay, characteristic of the region, an art elevated to Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The natural landscape is well represented in the Peneda-Gerês Natural Park bordering Spain, in Serra do Marão, or particularly in the Alvão Natural Park, where the genuine Lamas D’Olo and Ermelo villages built from granite are located. It is in this Park that we will walk through the mountains and enjoy the exciting feeling of “flying”, sliding on one of the world’s largest hanging cables with curves and counter curves, challenging the physical and mental limits.
