Palaces with Aroma

In the district of Aveiro we go from the coast line to mountain ranges, of which the Serra de Montemuro, with 1,382m of altitude, presents the highest point. The natural wealth is immense and there will be no shortage of idyllic places to burn calories, be it in the extensive maritime sand of Barra and Costa Nova, in the Ria and in the beautiful river beaches of the interior, either in Mata do Buçaco or in the steps of the walkway that takes us through AroucaGeoPark, a natural paradise belonging to the UNESCO World network. In Aveiro, we are not indifferent to the Ria and the ancient salt culture, nor to the most varied monuments where we feel the weight of history, as in the Santa Maria da Feira Castle, which portrays the territory’s defensive military history. But it is in Bairrada that we go on this activity, walking through the Serra do Buçaco, with a magical and unique forest in the world, which holds palaces, stories of legends and romanticism that leave us dazzled.
