DISCOVER THE FRAGA DA ÁGUA D’ALTA WATERFALLS, BREATHTAKING VIEWS AND THE REGION’S HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE.
Through the highest lands of continental Portugal, you can observe nature at its best. Don’t miss the waterfalls of Fraga da Água. Visit the Zebro and Corgas Viewpoint, the village of Isna, the Interpretation Center of Forts and Batteries and the Etnographic Museum Isilda Martins. The tour includes also a Callum wine tasting along with “broa” (cornbread) tasting. Day 1 Arrival. Day 2 Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning: Hiking Trail “Orvalho GeoTrail”, which includes the Waterfalls of Fraga da Água d’Alta, with the forest-relic of Portuguese laurels, and the Mosqueiro Viewpoint; Callum Wine Tasting, an anthropological jewel in a typical, familiar wine cellar, in Oleiros. Lunch in a restaurant with singular regional gastronomy. Afternoon: Observation of the Mountain’s womb in the Zebro Viewpoint (Estreito); visit the traditional village of Isna and the Secular Chestnut Trees, with Tasting of Corn Bread known as “Broa”. Accommodation. Day 3 Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning: Visit the Corgas Viewpoint; Interpretative Tour of Forts and Batteries from the Fantastic Wars, visiting the Talhadas Mountain Fort (French Invasions); visit the Museum Isilda Martins in Sobreira Formosa, ending with a Wine Tasting in the village of Catraia.
