Help Improve the Forest

Looking for a special holiday? Environmental Volunteering is our suggestion! Try Portugal, together with the NGO Montis, a forest management expert, prepared this 8-day program that is part of a project to help control, clean, replant, decimate and guarantee regrowth of native trees and vegetation, thus working to better soil and forest management and control of future forest fires. Interventions have been distributed in four very distinct locations with different needs. Join us in making the difference! Day 1 Welcoming at hostel and briefing during the morning. Afternoon free for sightseeing. Diner and return to the accommodation autonomously. Day 2 Breakfast at the Hostel. Transfer from the Hostel to the activity site at Carvalhal de Vermilhas. Work schedule starting between 9 am / 10 am. After picnic lunch at the grounds, return to work. End of the workday at 5:00 pm. Transfer to the accommodation. Dinner autonomously. Day 3 Breakfast at the Hostel. Transfer from the Hostel to the activity site at Baldio de Carvalhais. Work schedule starting between 9 am / 10 am. After picnic lunch at the grounds, return to work. End of the workday at 5:00 pm. Transfer to the accommodation. Dinner autonomously. Day 4 Breakfast at the Hostel. Full day rest day. Tour with a specialized guide in the area – taking breaks in specific zones of geological interest among other points of interest. Lunch not included in the program, suggestions will be given. Transfer to the accommodation. Dinner autonomously. Day 5 Breakfast at the Hostel. Transfer from the Hostel to the activity site at Terreno Altri. Work schedule starting between 9 am / 10 am. After picnic lunch at the grounds, return to work. End of the workday at 5:00 pm. Transfer to the accommodation. Dinner autonomously. Day 6 Breakfast at the Hostel. Transfer from the Hostel to the activity site at Baldio da Granja. Work schedule starting between 9 am / 10 am. After picnic lunch at the grounds, return to work. End of the workday at 5:00 pm. Transfer to the accommodation. Dinner autonomously. Day 7 Breakfast at the Hostel. Transfer from the Hostel to the activity site at Terreno Altri. Work schedule starting between 9 am / 10 am.
