Favaios Walking Tour

The walk starts in the village of Favaios, famous for its wheat bread made in traditional bakeries and for its moscatel wine. Along the way we will have fascinating scenery and magnificent views over the river Douro. This walk begins in Favaios. Here it is possible to visit the bread museum and/or visit a traditional bakery. It is also possible to visit a moscatel wine producing Quinta. This is a walk for a full day, especially in times like spring and autumn. In technical terms, it’s a 19km walk, a bit long but not difficult. The climbs are not very steep and the descents are easy.
