Portugal is one of the oldest Nations of the World, thus its main localities exhibit a vast historical heritage, which testifies and registers the culture of the many peoples who passed through its territory and the epics in which they got involved. But beyond History and Monuments, it is today a country equally proud of its cultural traditions, its gastronomy, its wines, its Atlantic coast with beautiful beaches, the very safety of its citizens and the hospitality and amiability of them, everything which, after all, attracts and captures the attention of foreigners who visit Portugal and never forget. This is a tour allows you to see and experience a bit of all these places so that, if you do not know Portugal yet, you will never forget it! Visits in Lisbon (2 nts), Sintra, Cascais, Estoril, Óbidos, Nazaré, Alcobaça, Fátima, Aveiro (1 nt), Lamego (1 nt), Pinhão, Guimarães (1 nt), Braga, Porto (2 nts), Coimbra, Batalha and Lisboa (1 nt). Day 1 – Welcome to Lisbon Our representative will be at the airport to take you to your hotel. Free day to explore Lisboa. Ask for our optional tours. Day 2 – Lisboa / Sintra / Cascais / Estoril / Lisbon Sightseeing tour of Lisbon. Visiting the 16th-century Monastery of Jerónimos (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Belém pastry “pastel” factory dated from 1837 and stop at Belém Tower. We will then proceed to Sintra town, UNESCO World Heritage Site, located 20 Km from Lisbon. Free time to walk around and get to know this charming town. We will continue to Cascais and on our return to Lisbon, we will pass by Estoril. Arrival at the hotel and free evening. Day 3 – Lisboa / Óbidos / Nazaré / Batalha / Fátima / Aveiro Head towards the north of Portugal! First stop in Óbidos, a small medieval town, placed within castle walls. Continuing to Nazaré, famous for its giant waves, we’ll then proceed to the Monastery of Batalha, one of the most beautiful works of Portuguese and European Gothic architecture and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next stop at Fátima Sanctuary, and visit to the village of Aljustrel, where the three little shepherds were born. We’ll then continue to Aveiro, known as the Venice of Portugal. Arrival at the hotel and free evening. Day 4 – Aveiro / Lamego / Winery Estate in Douro Start with a Moliceiro boat tour along the Aveiro river to admire the beautiful Art Nouveau buildings and the salt pans. Drive to Lamego and visit its baroque sanctuary, dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies. Visit the city centre and have lunch in an excellent local restaurant (included). In the afternoon, we will visit a winery estate in the Douro Valley. Accommodation in Lamego and free time. Day 5 – Douro / Pinhão / Boat ride in the Douro River / Guimarães Head towards Pinhão, the heart of Douro Valley Wine Region, classified by UNESCO as Cultural Landscape. Boat tour in the Douro river among the vineyards and wine estates all related to port wine production. Leave for the city of Guimarães, known as the birthplace of Portuguese nationality, and stroll around the historic city centre, UNESCO Cultural Heritage. Visit the medieval Castle of Guimarães and the Dukes of Bragança Palace. Free time and accommodation. Day 6 – Guimarães / Braga / Porto Today we will visit Braga and Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, and its historical city centre, exhibiting the oldest Portuguese Cathedral. Departure to Porto, the second biggest city of Portugal. Upon arrival, we will have a sightseeing tour. Accommodation and free evening. Day 7 – Porto Free day to wander around the gorgeous city of Porto. You can also choose to take an optional tour to Santiago de Compostela or visit Barcelos, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo, a boat trip in the Douro river or a wine tasting of Porto in the wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Ask for our optional tours. Day 8 – Porto / Coimbra / Lisboa Say goodbye to Porto and head south to Coimbra, where the first university of Portugal was established. After visiting the university we could explore the city centre. Departure to Lisbon. Accommodation and free evening. Day 9 – Lisboa Check-out of the Hotel. At the time to be informed, transfer to the airport. End of our services.

8 nights in a double room with breakfast. Airport/hotel/airport transfers. Guided tours in Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Porto Lunch in Lamego on the 4th day. Visit the farm in the Douro with wine tasting. Boat trips: Moliceiro in Aveiro and Rabelo in Pinhão. Access tickets to the Bom Jesus Elevator in Braga, Castle of Guimarães, Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, University of Coimbra. Transportation of 1 average bag per person.
