Wikidata Days 2023 MEETING
Wikidata Days 2023 MEETING | 28-30 Sept. ’23 | 10h00-18h00
National Library of Portugal | Auditorium and Training Room | Free entry
Wikidata is a collaborative project of the Wikimedia Foundation, the same organisation responsible for Wikipedia. Its aim is to create a structured and open knowledge base that can be used by both humans and machines, allowing data to be shared in a connected way, forming part of the semantic web.
Over the course of three days, there will be presentations, editing workshops and practical applications for organising data. This event, which is intended to be held annually, seeks to bring together experts in these areas, addressing best practices in the use of Wikidata in GLAM and research projects and reflecting on its impact on the global dissemination of knowledge.
There will also be 2 sessions dedicated to the EODOPEN Project – Opening Publications for European Netizens, a project co-financed by the European Commission under the Culture Programme, which aims to digitise and make freely accessible materials from the 20th and 21st centuries and in which the BNP has been participating since 2019.
